| 2013 Annual Conference
AREUEA Annual Meeting is held in January in conjunction with the meetings of the Allied Social Science Associations. AREUEA organizes twenty-three sessions during the three day conference, in which selected participants report on research in progress or recently completed. Additionally, AREUEA hosts a Doctoral Session which invited distinguished scholars share their insights and wisdom with students on topics such as career planning, publishing, and research. Furthermore selected students can present their current research at the doctoral poster session which is held in conjunction of a reception in their honor.
Every year AREUEA hosts a joint session with the American Economic Association (AEA) in which topics of mutual interests are presented by distinguished scholars from both organizations. The Presidential Luncheon is featured on the last full day of the conference and is hosted in honor of AREUEA outgoing President. In addition to the Presidential address, AREUEA recognizes the generous sponsors of the organization in addition to announcing the recipients of the George Bloom Award, Edwin Mills Best Paper Award, Real Estate Economics Best Referee Awards, and the Homer Hoyt Institutes Dissertation Award.

General Conference Information
The 48th Annual AREUEA Conference will be held in San Diego, California, January 4-6 2013. Information on the 2013 conference is posted as it becomes available. Conference registration information for the 2013 meeting will be posted around mid-September once it is available from ASSA. Note, that the ASSA stopped using printed registration materials in 2008.

Conference Announcements
Doctoral Session & Reception
AREUEA will be hosting the 26th Annual Doctoral Session and Reception on Thursday January 3rd from 5:00 – 8:00 PM, location to be announced.
Doctoral students who applied and were selected to present during the poster session will be displaying their research during the doctoral reception. Please plan on attending this event to support all of the students selected.
We encourage all Ph.D. students to attend this insightful event.
Call for Papers and Participation
2013 Annual Conference and Meetings
AREUEA is pleased to announce the call for papers for the Annual Conference. The conference is being held in San Diego, CA January 4 - 6, 2013.
Please click on the PDF link for complete details regarding the request for papers. All submissions must be made through AREUEA's online submission system and they must be submitted by April 1, 2012. The deadline has been extended to April 8, 2012.
